I try to avoid TS's and head for RA's. If I do though I park in the back under some light so my truck wont walk off or anywhere with a straight shot to the entrance/exit, yes I'll leave the wrong way and pass up dealing with 200 dumb mfer's

Seems theres just not enough room for trucks anymore at the busy truck stops. So, learn to not put yourself into a position to get clusterflopped, and you should do alright. Park as far away as possible.
I laugh at (and happen to need and appreciate) the sheeplike truckers to pack themselves as close as possible to the building. Usually helps me get a quiet spot in the back somewhere. hahaha -
Raiderfanatic Thanks this.

I try to stop in rest areas, only using the truckstops for my 34's

try the mom&pop t/s. the ones with different a exit number ,so you won't get overflow. some even offer a free shower. I avoid the name brands especially Pilot for my over nights.

Last retarded truck stop experience for me was the Pilot in Syracuse, NY. Trucks packed in everywhere, bad lot design that traps you in a dead end that's too narrow to turn around in, and the place was just a toilet in general. Avoid if you can. And yes, there were trucks parked all stupid in the morning making it a pain in the rear to get out.

It only takes one bad experience to burn a place in your mind... J in Texarkana, Pilot in Birmingham (3hrs to get fuel 8 yrs ago and I never stopped there again!), T/A in Jessup, MD, Pilot just north of Charleston, SC.... There are tons of them. Like others, I park at a lot of rest areas, or at the customer when possible.

Loves in Fife, WA. I despise this place. Blocked in there twice, and the third and final time I parked there I got my mirror ripped off by a guy backing in next to me.
I've been blocked in in smaller rest areas when the truck next to me pulls up too far and you can't turn around him in the AM to leave.
I agree with whoever up there said to park in the mom n pop places on the different offramps from the chains. I almost always park in these, when possible.
Plus there's no hot coffee at the rest area, which is a rotten way to go about the morning. I'll deal with a dirt lot and potholes rather than go caffeineless.
