To start off the recruiting department does not lie to you...... they don't need to.
Show up in Springdale, AR and check into hotel. Its a descent place, clean and BIG room with a king size bed, fridge, microwave etc... they have a bar and grill that's good and a restaurant on site. Directly across from Walmart and Walgreen's and next door to Aldi. They feed you breakfast and lunch everyday and pay $350 for orientation. Will reimburse for gas to Springdale too.
Orientation is straight forward and everyone is pleasant for the major part. Orientation is Monday-Thursday. Any drivers I have talked to seem content to happy to be employed here. And lets face it, .40cpm to drive some one else's equipment is pretty good tasting money as well. Not to mention they haul their own stuff and rarely back haul anything. So the miles are here. If it slows down, they pull freight from the outside carriers to hand back to their own fleet.
The bennies are really good. Really good. Ill keep it updated as I go.....

I've been with them for almost 6 months. This is the best place I have worked for. I will easily top 60k this year or come very close. Yes I do get stuck running short runs but then you can bet the next run more than makes up for it. I have never worked for a company that treated dirvers they way we are here. Layover, short haul pay and multiple stop pay is great. If we don't move more than 200 miles under a load or not even on multiple stops within a 24 hour period we get layover pay of $85. Pastors at every Tyson plant on call 24/7 if a driver needs help. They do take care of the drivers.

Yes, poultry companies are real strict on bio-security. I know for the place I work at, Perdue, can't even own a pet bird.

This is true, but to me its a minor inconvenience in comparison to the big picture.

But they do pay extra 6cpm for loads under 250 miles and 3cpm for loads under 500 miles. So it evens out pretty nice. This place seems great so far!

If we are going by the house and you can park in a safe place you can. But if someone empties the reefer tank or you run out of fuel you can bet you will be SOL. It will be your fault.
