My advice on trucking schools to all my new prospective trucking brothers.
If your looking for a school, find a company that has there own school. i say this because, there are tons of schools out there and they wont find you a job when your done and your stuck with a owing alot of money and getting with a company that has its own school will be a fail proof guaranteed job, provided you do what you need to do.
Also, consider a company that does refrigerated. This gives you an extra value of Experience for when you decide to leave your first company. it also opens up more options for you to get good miles because Dry van drivers sit when there is no freight, refrigerated drivers roll because they can haul temp controlled or dry goods. consider a company that DOES NOT use automatic trucks. i say this because alot of drivers went to Usxpress and started in an automatic truck and when they quit, other companies wouldnt touch them because they didnt have any experience with 10 speeds etc. Just a few things to think about when making your choice and plan ahead. also if you have any questions or need any help, message me, im not an anti driver trucker, i believe in the brotherhood and lifestyle and will help my fellow truckers without criticism.. Good Luck to all.

Like rodney said..... choose wisely....... but my recomendation would be to stay away from CRE. Good company if you go company but your options for that are limited. they almost require you go lease because thats where they want you..... so please choose wisely..... Good luck drivers

This is actually bad advice . Companies with training programs obligate you to a given amount of employment , usually a year . Any number of scenarios can prevent drivers from completing the year.
If you don't complete the year you will be billed thousands of dollars for the training and the training will be useless because they won't give you a certificate . -
i just finished with the swift owned school in san antonio i chose it for two reasons
1. it is half the price of the roadmaster school in san antonio and i live in schertz so the two of them had a big advantage with me
2. roadmaster offers job placment asstance but swift well thay are the company
as far as requarments with swift are thay give you a lone for your tuition and ones you finish with your mentor thay start payrole deductions for traning it takes about a year to pay this off but at the same tine you receve tuition reinbursment that is half the deduction so if you stay with swift for 2 years your school is efectvly free.
the school in san antonio has good frendly and knolageable staff but thay rented space in an older central terminal to house it and this place has some probulams the water foutain dose not work, there are 4 vending mechins in the lunch room but one is broken, also the ladies room has 3 stals but 2 are broken and unusable also there is no hot water. -
2 years can last forever !!!
