is U.S Xpress good company to work for? why it's very bad company?

    Noco obvious the only sane driver out here I knot makin stuff up.like i was sayn I don't get on 70 much anymore an I was headin w.b. there an looked off 2 the rite an what I thot was the the terminal was all lockd down

    It was a way better place to work back then. you could bobtail to the store and where not held prisoner at the terminal till a team showed up with a load to deliver. almost everyone was doing high miles and not running around rail yards. trainees where trained based on ability's and not by some cookie cutter method. They did not have you come to orientation as a solo and then send you home if they could not turn you into a team or lease driver. They did not have you sitting for weeks at home waiting for trainers because of so many trainees needed to fill trucks and not enough people to train them. The list goes on and on.


    The Medway terminal was under lease after The takeover of Victory. Thats why it closed not to mention the problems at that so-called school they ran out of that terminal.. Wonder if they still run all that short haul Mejier frt on wknds that they would try to pay you the dedicated rate which was like 5 cents less then my OTR rate. Went round and round with them to get my money back on that one. Took like 2 months before they gave up and paid what they owed. For some reason they thought I would look the other way and take less money then my OTR pay when they ran forced DP. You see those loads where supposed to be volunteer loads for the lower rate if they where forced you had to pay the OTR rate and 100 bucks for unload and progressive stop pay and not the 60 buck unload like they paid on the Dollar General. They also forced drivers into those loads and ended up almost killing one driver who got a multi million settlement for life time care and dozens of workmen comp claims a month when they took those loads from Werner.


    About the only difference I see between when I worked there and now that is a improvement, is going back to trucks that you shift.

    I even hear drivers saying how great their trucks are. They are stripped down trucks. And how do teams like running in those trucks they have now versus the Volvo 780 they used to run in? the truth please .

    A driver can go down the street to Lebanon TN and look at a truck at Interstate Dist. that has not been stripped down and see the difference.

    Not getting money on elogs is not true! I run elogs, manage them properly, and ran 13,000 miles for the month.
