Finally got my own truck!!!

Yea i remember you there. We were hanging out by the guy who hauled a dedicated for toyota and wasnt governed. He was goin on about all the logbook violations his codrivers did

 

None are allowed.

Every now and again, if I was stuck in a town with a gun show, or I drove past a yard sale with rifles and such for sale, I'd stop. Two times I rolled out with one. But I got home and took it out of truck as soon as I could.

 

One thing you have to remember about fiearms..Your permit for that firearm is technically only good where the firearm is registered..Here in tx anyone can get a permit to carry but its oly good in Texas...

Second..if you work at a factory or office ad they so much as find a firearm in your car in the parking lot you are gone. Most trucking companies will term a company driver for a weapon..They don't want you getting mad, walking into the office and blowing away your dispatcher. or another driver.

well, that's just not true. I am licensed in Texas, and believe me...I carry in other states. It's called "reciprocity". sorry, big word, I know...

Nope..definately not anti gun..I own a .50 DE as well as numerous swords, knives, etc.

I'm just stating from the corporate jockey point of view that most companies have...besdes..ballistics are traceable..LOL

And a lot of it is WRONG.

Most states have provisions in place that an employer can't say squat about a firearm if it is properly secured in your vehicle.
Specifically for Texas.

You must have some way of doing something with it if you are legally permitted to carry to/from work.

Texas alone recognizes permits from 41 different states. Even a non-resident permit from them. So if you live in a state it's NOT recognized in like Minnesota, you can get a Florida non-resident permit and still be ok.

Many states have reciprocity with others so that if you are permitted in another, they accept it in that state.

I am a MN permit to carry instructor as well and inaccurate information like that just tweaks me wrong.

Leaving uncorrected will lead to a lot of misunderstood issues and people thinking they can't do something when they are legally able to.
