just a few words about this carrier based out of nebraska. i just left there friday. i was a lease purchaser. 05 volvo with 300 k on it. $522 a week. ( including $60 for tripak generator ) well i wont ramble, tripak didnt work for 3.5 of 4 weeks i was there. supposed to avg 3000 miles. i did 2800, 1890, 1900 and 1700. 1st check was $1500. then $400 and then $138. i worked the whole month of feb and only asked to get by house once. i got home sat morn and left mon morn. now my dispatcher was jim. on three occasions, they ( scheduling ) wanted me to to a 2138 mile run in 2.5 days, not possible i said. so, i sat for 12 more hours. the other 2 cases were just not possible doing it legally. i will say their company drivers have newer equipment and better miles. well good luck all, and i would just think twice about them. oh, when i told them i was done, they asked what they could do!!! jim said if i needed more miles, i should have told them. well, as you all know, its always our fault.

The fleece purchase has been the down fall for MANY drivers. The only folks its a good deal for is the company that is fleecing you.
74dred Thanks this. -
they are part of grogeon companies, burlington, gone now,van pak still doing business, greenfield, not sure if still going, schanno was where i lease purchased quit awhile ago,ran 13 weeks non stop, came home for 1 day, started 899. then dwindled down to 399.00,then you give it up,then they find another sucker just like I was and take all of his money, insur, escros they take for 10 cts a mile, they keep all that too.If any of you drivers go for these folks you deserve it because i and a bunch of others have warned you. the drivers that are making it are the plants they use to sell you and some are relatives working for grogeon companies, not sure of the spelling.

Wanting to operate legal and be a lease operator at most OTR company's will get you starved out. They sort of assume you will do what it takes to get the job done due to their poor planning because they think you will have the attitude of westcoasthauler and chalk it up as "just trucking".
Never lease company equipment, only lease on equipment. -
So true.
I had that opinion, and then I thought I found a lease that was some what in my favor. NOPE, I paid about $30,000 into a failed lease.
Only good thing about the whole mess is the equipment loan was not in my name! So when the company starved me out it didn't hit my credit. -

Amateurs are people that can't do their job even when they do feel like it.
