My teammate and I are having several differences, I for one am a semi-neat freak; not saying that I'm anal about keeping things clean, but we are living in a closed space, the least we can do for one another is keep stuff tidy. He also has a different perspective on time management; he leaves everything for the last minute, for instance, we had to pick up a load coming off of home time, after already spending FIVE days home (when we were only out for 3 weeks) he waited for the last minute to go begin driving to pick up the load, getting to the shipper photo finish in time for the 23:59 cut off. I've come to the conclusion that maybe he puts pleasure before business, and this is a business above all, but he seems to think that it's HIS business and not consider my side at all. I've had many arguments with him and basically I'm exhausted of arguing with a wall. Basically, I just think that we are not compatible... I'm also very safety conscientious and he is not; he's had a few incidents already with me in the truck; one of them involving running over a light post and destroying one of the trailer tandem rims. I've already spoken with mgmt about this problem and even though they've been useful I think they (obviously) prefer us teaming. To top everything off I'm not even suppose to be teaming with him cause he lives further than my contract states (he lives 70 miles when the contract says WITHIN 50 miles) Anybody got any ideas, suggestions?

You may have to tell dispatch to get you off the truck, and that you can't stand it any more...we all have our limits and you've reached yours. If prior to being teamed with this person you hadn't complained a lot, you've always made your loads on time, etc. and you have a good dispatcher..they will listen and get you through a terminal to get you off the truck.
