Aviation Fuel Tanks

FAA requires you to completely drain and clean out storage containers at least once a year. The law also allows one year of storage in commercial applications.

Most pilots will only use one year old av-gas in an emergency. In Mississippi high altitude (pressurized cabins) are probably not a common as they are in the west ( somebody parked some mountains in our backyard), high altitude means more risk of ice particles in older gas.

 

No such thing as unemployed fuel hauler in PHX. Just that people are willing to work CHEAP. Its a 24 hour job here, most people dont want to work nites anywhere else in the country but here you dont want to work days in the summer.
You can always find local delivery boy (gas stations) here, I prefer the oddball stuff that nobody else wants to do ( avgas, jet, transmix, etc...).

El Paso has plenty of OTR work. Contact Western Refining, they pay pretty good and are growing.

 

I haul avgas all the time, most small airports usually only get around 1500-2000 gallons at a time.
Not a lot of flying these days when gas is over $6!

 

Sorry 'bout that.... we're still waiting on the oversize permits. You know how govt bureaucrats are.

 

Yeah, 3 days for a 18' high permit... I can only imagine a 14,000' high route.
