unplug the antenna to the truck use any station that has no signal

no out side signal to mess it up unless you run in some big city and get the signal with out the antenna:biggrin_25516:

Well, it's not our truck so I don't know about just pulling out the radio. Far as I can tell, there IS no radio antenna??? I can't find it, anyway... weird.

Still absolutely no luck. There's static on it no matter how "blank" the station is. I'm about ready to give up and chuck it and just use my iPod to play through the radio. At least that's clear and it's music I like. Still, I'm not happy. I still need to try that FM thing to block other signals but haven't gotten to it yet - another $50 or so I really don't want to spend.

    I'm really disappointed.

Thanks for all the suggestions. :)

I have an adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter that also charges the iPod - it's a Kensington adapter and works exceptionally well and is very easy to use.

Did you call Sirius at all? I have never had any problems like you're talking about. I've had my Starmate for over two years and never had any problems with it. I've split a couple wires on two different antennae, but never had a problem with my radio not being heard through the FM transmitter.

If the thing that you plug your Ipod into has a plug like a head set does you can plug that into the sirius and that should work.

    just a thought......

No, it plugs directly into the iPod using an iPod plug that doesn't fit anything else far as I know.

As for the FM thingy, instructions, again, are to take out the radio. I can't do that. It's not my truck. But will ask the "shop" if we're allowed next time we're at home base. Thanks :)

I'm just asking but is there a place on the front of the radio for a plug becouse most of the new radio's have a outlet in the front so you can plug a mp3 or the such into it.

I'm asking becouse I bought a new radio 6 months ago and the other day my nephew showed it to me.......:biggrin_25526:

Also Walmart has a thing that you plug into your cig. lighter and then into you mp3 or the such and you set you radio to the freq. that it works on.
