The problem with junk food is portion control. An egg mcmuffin for breakfast or a quarter pounder isn't bad for you, it is when you add the fries and apple pie and coke that you start to have problems. Just watch the number of calories you eat and if you think you are really not getting good nutrition invest in some multivitamins. If you can limit your calories, it doesn't really matter what you eat. You can get fat eating food from the store as easily as you can get eating TS food.
That said, store food gives you some variety, which is important.
As other posters said, walking or running is your best bet for exercise, just be safe when you do it. -
Something I'll be doing when I get in my own truck is take my bike with me and ride when I can for 10-30 minutes a day. But, I ride BMX, so it's a single speed 20 incher lol. It's still a workout. I know of other drivers taking a MTB or road bike with them, but I need to see how they haul it behind the cab without getting it in a pinch. I'll be driving for CRE and hauling reefers mostly, so that's about an extra foot or more closer to the cab.

A mini trampoline is an ideal excercise tool. Jumping on a trampoline is one of the best workouts a person can get young or old. They store nicely, as long as your in a condo you have room to work out on one. You don't have to worry about the weather and it is very easy on the knees and other body parts unlike running on hard pavement. Start out 10 minutes a day and eventually work up to 30

Thank u everyone for responding I'm having to get out of the "corporate" mindset and getting a clearer idea how to develop my day. After I get done with school I know there is another 4-6 weeks of training to go! Yeah!
Thanks again for being so responsive,

how do you eat at home or at your "corporate" job? doubt you sit around and eat fast food all day so don't do it out here. The only real difference is it requires some creativity when stores aren't as accessible.

Things im doing.
Im not fat but im not 'in shape' either.
Learned this from a MMA fighter. As often as you can flex your abs and chest muscles and hold it for a period of time. Every five miles at highway speeds I contract and hold for a half mile. Doesn't seem like much but after a 500 mile trip you'll feel it and that's important. do it every day. every trip. helps pass the time. DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH! try to breath normally or you'll become statistic.
Don't eat fried crap. go for grilled chicken as much as possible. Have an apple and OJ for breakfast. Eating junk will ruin you. as an OTR you dont get the heart rate up enough to counteract a double cheeseburger as say being a landscaper.
Walk. as pointed out dont look for the easy close spot. I only do this if i know im there for a 34 and want good wi-fi, otherwise as far as possible. usually open and unwanted.
not often mentioned but, close the curtains get nekked and photo yourself both front and side shots. No more motivation needed if you have any self respect. don't just use your phone to look at photo but upload it to your computer and look at it in an image editor. If your serious about weight loss take a pic a month apart. see if your making any headway. If not make changes.
And really i guess this is a mentality thing but just don't be lazy, don't look for the easy way. If it requires work, to help you or others do it. Push harder. don't let anything be in your mind "I could've done more"
I'm sorry to some of you out there, but look at others and remind yourself you'll never let yourself get that way. and no... its not genetics your lazy.Leia Thanks this.
