It varies with me and I hate it. Sometimes I can get 5 or less and be top notch. Sometimes 8 wont cut it.

I need at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep.
But I shoot for 10 to 12.
I think I read it here, but healthy sleep is seven hours. But it was a British study so who knows? -
LOL... I am at my best on 5-6 hrs of sleep. Any more then 6 hrs and I am sluggish all day.

I am happiest with 8-9 hours, early to bed, up at the crack of dawn.

Some days all I need is 6-7 and then other days I need more like 9. Haven't figured out why it fluctuates.

I do best with 8 hours... but usually get around 7... <sigh>

If I go to bed at 10 I will wake up at 3 AM. I automatically wake up after about 5 +/- hours of sleep. The older I get, the less sleep I need. As a teenager I could sleep all day, as my 19 year old son does now.

If I sleep more than six I have a bad headache all day.
