FexEx Freight (City Driver) Job Daily Job Duties?

They load their truck, make multiple stops and unload their truck, then return to load truck again. Sometimes they have a lot of stops other times just a few. Depends on what and where they are hauling.

 

Hmmm, the Freight terminals have dock workers who load and unload. Drivers will have to load and unload at some customers. City drivers may also end up at peoples homes. One delivered my friends truck parts (fenders, bumper and pipes) to his home shop. But as far as at the terminal it's pretty much all drop and hook.
Some city drivers have a route. Same places same days. Some bounce on whatever is available.

 

Not all terminals have dock loaders most are loaded by driver . Even the line haul drivers run to the terminals then jump on time clock and load and unload . Unless they have changed there policies ...Me being a LTL driver for another company much rather load my own stops and freight nothing like hunting for your deliveries and trying to unload freight the loader did not give 2 cents about ...
