Werner cost me a days pay

I wonder what he thought was happening to "power out" of the situation.

 

Yea after 1980.

There is a company (USX) who in their recruiting ad brags about how their GPS will keep the driver from getting lost because it is designed specifically for trucks.

Thats USX's MO alway bragging about Tech stuff. I mean who cares how much they pay and when you will get home or what kind of miles you will get. No they spend the drivers pay increases on talking about how you can be a total dufus and with are tech you can still find the customer.

Now I have had a few bad directions here and there and have been sent to customers that have moved but I have never pounded the steering wheel with tears welling up in my eyes distraught that my company does not provide GPS.

But then again I did city delivery's before back in the day when you had the steering wheel in one hand and a Thomas guide in the other to find your 20 stops. So finding a few customers a week was never a issue with me.

In fact I just remembered I have a GPS unit that some driver gave me for 25 bucks at a T/S while he was cleaning out his truck and cussing out his company. I have never even plugged it in except to makesure it worked, so I will probably donate it to someone who might be thinking about going to USX because of their nifty GPS and save him from making that mistake.

 

or they might fire him on the spot.

 

Since he does not work for Werner I think they would have a hard time firing him on the spot.

 

You all understood what he wrote? If he wrote a letter like he wrote here, would you take him seriously? Good luck getting that day's pay...

 

I wish I could post what I saw once, but the other driver would blame me.

Way back when, In my C-1 motel room on payday ($50.00) my roommate, stole my wallet, all ID's, saw the punk a month later as a student.
