Squire, Trans am or Roehl?

None of the above! You haven't read anything about any of those 3 in the Bad Company section or you just asked before doing the research?

 

I went to Sqiure after a 40 hour refresher at my local Sage Driving School. Wasn't been a bad choice for me.
Others on this board have had good and bad experiences with Squire/Knight.

 

Reading the news of the industry, I believe there are more and more companies hiring new drivers. Also, many companies require less experience than they did previously. So, it may not be "the lesser evil" is your only choice.

 

Don't pay any attention to RolloverTheOriginal. If everybody based their decisions based on what was posted under the "Bad Company" section, NO carrier would be fit to work for. Sound's like you're right on track and doing the correct research. Being in Berks county, PA, either should be able to get you home from time to time probably easiest for Knight since they have a [service?] terminal in Carlise. Also, would you consider flatbed or only van/reefer? Knight (Squire) probably has the largest "footprint" in PA of the 3. But IMO, either is a decent company to begin with from what I've gathered and experienced as far as the major national carriers.

 

I went with Roehl transport and its not bad. One incident with the trainer but that seems normal. Once i got on my own its been everything i thought it would be. First round out 2800 miles next week cause of hometime 1600 miles. You get 3 days for 11 out and 4 days for 18 out and so on. Third trip out just under 2600 miles. Not bad once i get the hang of things should be more consistent. People here are very nice and friendly and dispatch knows my name...
