On my last week teaming with Conway, looking forward to a little home time then starting a new chapter. So where is everybody? Kinda weird not a peep except for mgt1085. If anyones with Heyl would sure like to know how things are going?

Good luck with Heyl. My husband is getting ready to quit driving for them.
-
Maybe an explanation why would help??? I don't work for Heyl but have heard nothing but good things about them from drivers I have met... Care to elaborate??? -
My husband drives for Heyl. You have to pay rider insurance to legally have a spouse ride along.

Just kidding but , yea I live near the main HQ and it is a very well run company , they have a real niche marked out for themselves.vmaggs Thanks this. -
Donna just bounces around thread to thread slamming Heyl with no good reasons because her hubby says so. No info to back it up because she hasn't driven for Heyl one day in her life. Sad.
vmaggs Thanks this. -
You would be amazed what driver's wife knows from simple observation... It doesn't take a rocket scientist or a brain surgeon to figure out which companies suck and which ones don't.
For those who say let hubby get on here and do his own complaining.. my hubby has been here and done his own complaining, only to be attacked by people for his spelling and grammar, by people who's grammar and spelling is far worse.
For those of you who do not think a driver's wife has any business having anything to say in this, I want you all to remember something..
A great deal of driver's wives did NOT sign up for this messed up life! I KNOW I didn't! We went from being happily married, with a true, honest to God, home every night PARTNER, to doing EVERYTHING ourselves. Not just the blasted housework. Fixing the broken car that you are no longer home to fix. Fixing the plugged up pipes. Mowing our own yards. Doing the painting ourselves. Sitting in hospital rooms with your family, BY OURSELVES, because you are GONE, as usual. Raising the children you helped bring into this world.
At least you had a say in this. Most of us didn't. -
I try to refrain from piling on , but will offer one advice for her. If you are having these issues with Heyl and they are one of the better one around imagine the next one.
-
Donna, I would like you to know that MOST companies require a deposit or fee for riders these days, they have insurance risks associated with you being there as well as posible complications with shippers and recievers. When my wife and I ran team several years ago there were more then one company that wanted to see proof she was not just a rider before letting her in the gate and I owned the truck at the time! One place made her stay outside the gate with our dog while I got loaded because animals were not allowed on the property!
All in all if that's the worst they are doing, giving him miles to make a living and asking him to pay a fee for a rider I would say he has it pretty good, but then that is MY opinion and that's all. -
removed by Dryver, i'll just bite my lip on this one.Last edited: Jun 14, 2012
