EFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Gov. Jay Nixon has signed legislation requiring Missouri motorists to allow more space for stopped Transportation Department vehicles.Missouri law already requires motorists to change lanes and yield for stopped police cars, ambulances and other emergency vehicles. Nixon signed legislation Monday adding state transportation agency vehicles with amber or white lights, including those marked for emergency response or for motorist assistance.
Expanding the "move over" law was among the priorities for the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.

**Lets not forget that Missouri also has that No trucks in left lane law and it's posted pretty well. I tried to save a driver last week here in town but he didn't believe me and he got pulled over for speeding and that 3rd lane violation. Those are points I would not want!

I saw a 4 wheeler in Nashville, TN last week get popped, 2 motorcycle cops had a semi stopped on the ramp from I-440 to I-65 North, everyone had moved over and was moving by and 1 car stayed over and passed the one cop by about 4 feet, he jumped on his bike and pulled the 4 wheeler over.
