I don't agree.
If you drive a modern auto, using the same driving style as you did with a manual, the results will not be good.
When i went from a manual to an auto,it took me some time to adjust and change.
And change i had to do,in fact alot off it.
But i did it and the result are there. -
I find/found it INCREDIBLY difficult to go the other way from auto back to shifter...
Couldn't shift well enough to get an almost sure thing big truck job.
Happy enough at this point to do Hotshot with my own pu. -

i've driven a number of transmissions, 5&4, 6&4, 6&5, 4&4, 7, 9, 10, 13, 15, 18, & the 18 spd auto-shift. i screwed up 1 of those 18 auto shift's; but i'd love to have a fully automatic, no clutch. after 20 yrs of otr, i'm more than willing to try it & i'm sure i'll like it.

I love to read and hear the comments that "it ain't truckin, if your not shifting", in fact a number of my co-workers said that exact thing, until talking to some of my drivers about the Ishift, and what I say to anyone is, if your being paid X amount of dollars a day to do a job, and its not your 'lifestyle' and your truly there to earn just a paycheck and support the family, then why not earn the X amount of dollars as easy as you can? Thats just how I look at it, and its my opinionFrenzy, Scania man and LaBubba Thank this. -
When the 2 stick was being replaced with a range button on the stick, you could hear them cry for miles...
