unlimited data via the hotspot app on my phone. Unfortunately the unlimited data for new subscribers is gone. The mifi device would be my second choice and I have used one in the past.

    A couple different plans

    Unlimited mifi is sprint

    20gig 3G is Verizon

3G/4G 20gig split. (10gigs on each) I believe is Verizon.

I use the 20gig 3G and have yet to go over. Play battlefield 3 and COD, Netflix, Hulu, etc... I make sure Hulu and Netflix are set to standard definition or lower. Not that bad a picture. I deal as it saves a ton of data over an HD picture. 24" TV doesn't look as bad as a 42" or bigger when at a lower resolution.

Sent from somewhere out there on the road.

In/near/around major cities or areas with lot's of population spread around, ATT (and Verizon) data is fast enough to do light to moderate web surfing on a laptop with little or no waiting. With a 4G device and in a "quality data" area and, speed can be "very good" and youtube videos come down much quicker than they can be viewed. But you'll find all 3G and 4G areas are not created equal where data is concerned, some areas (not many) you'd expect decent data speed, it's just not there.

I just tried it on my Virgin Mobile Optimus V. It works, much to my surprise. No rooting required. Sprint and VM have removed it from the Google Play store, so you have to do a litttle searching to get to the developers website and download the .apk manually.
