Do most companies allow practice time prior to these driving tests? I did not drive a Porsche in school and I am certain these company trucks will a bit better and take some time adjusting to. I am going with Roehl

Are they looking for perfection on this test? I just cant imagine traveling to orientation and have to turn around because of a quick drive test.

When I went to oriantation with usx I hadn't driven a manual in 5 yrs.You don't think I didn't grind gears a bit,and I passed.Don't sweat it you'll get most of that experiance with your trainer anyways.

they never that im aware of allow practice for road test, biggest advice dont be nervous and just remember the basics. if you get into a newer truck to road test it should be easier and smoother then the school trucks. Just keep it simple and follow signs and rules of the road youll be good....

Training companies aren't looking for perfection. They just want to make sure you can sort of operate the vehicle safely. Keep it between the lines, don't hit any curbs, use your signals, etc.

It's a different ballgame for experienced drivers.

Then I'm pretty sure the truck your going to test out in won't be a helluva lot better than the one you learned in. 8>)

just remember. If you keep it in gear there is less grinding.:biggrin_25519: Also, They are not looking for that. They want to see how you take corners, right hand turns, speeding, leave your blinker on until you are fully in your lane. Stuff like that. Do not shift while going over a RR track. They also like it if you "TAKE YOUR TIME". Go slow. Don't give them a reason to be nervous. I've had many compliments because I didn't scare them.
