The trick is to operate more efficiently than a large carrier full of company drivers. Run your truck like a company driver, and expect to have a hard time feeding yourself.

I want to work for Prime. In fact, I'll finally be going to Prime taining next week! Start on 08/14!
To me, Prime offers the best training opportunity and pays WAY better than any other company paid training.

Me, I'm just grateful to have a job!

Not in all cases. If you go into it leasing a brand spanking new truck then most likely, but play your cards right and leasing can be profitable.

Not only that, but my definition of acceptable "growth" may be different than yours. Also, the Prime Lease is a straight lease, no purchase. (There is the ACE lease, also, but I do not know all of the particulars on that one. ACE is the lease/purchase option at Prime.)

And so, here I am reading a thread. On page 2 or 3 a useful post was made about the OP's other post.
And just we can get some value from OP.

Thats sad, really, you lost everything? How did you post? Wouldn't you have lost your phone and computer?

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

Hey, I was one of those guys who lost my job. So what do I do? Get another one that pays only $8.50 to $10.00 an hour? I never went to collage and have no technical training. All the manufacturing went south. The only way to make a family supporting wage is in the trucking business. Even if I make as little as thirty thousand a year, I would still be making $10,000 more than what I was making. Lets face it. We all get up to go to work everyday to make money doing what ever it is everyone does and the whole idea is to make as much money as possible with the time we put in period.
