Why do drivers circle the parking lot?

A parking spot for your 18-wheeler at the end of the day...now that's one of life's simpler pleasures non drivers just won't understand will they. Circle the parking lot till the right one jumps out at you.

 

Sounds like they've been watching too many old westerns on TV.

So ya can wind up the ol' speedo to rammin' speed to get that dang BFI dropped trailer outta your way and into a nice, quiet parkin' spot!

Circle the parking lot till the right one jumps out at you. Sounds like your at the GOLDIE LOCKS and the 3 BEARS Truckstop , 1st spot is TOO TIGHT , 2nd spot is TOO FAR away from the store 3rd spot is JUST RIGHT

 

Easy. They're out of hours. Once you hit your 11 or 14, you can no longer drive a CMV on public roads. But you can circle the truck stop lot as long as you want and its perfectly legal. Other options are 10 miles away but for those drivers, they might as well be 1000 miles away. Legal is legal for those drivers and quite frankly, that behavior should be encouraged rather than being questioned as you're doing here.

I circle the lot so I can find a nice spot up wind to see how many of you I can piss off....
