Good catch Craig I forgot about the sliding pay scale for solos! Been running team so it hasn't affected me and slipped my mind lol.

ATL I think you have to pay per month for someone to ride with you if they are not a driver. Kind of like having to pay each week for having a dog on board

I'm glad to hear some good news about USX. I'm thinking about coming over there myself. I'm tired of working for this small company and driving junk equipment. I want a place where I can go and be for a long time.

Big companies have their good and bad. This one has good equipment and plenty of terminals/service centers. The bad is it's not real personal when it comes to dispatch. Night and weekend dispatch can be a little frustrating sometimes.

You should speak to the equipment manager about your truck situation.

What's the average length of haul you're running? 25 cpm average is real low. You would have to get all long runs to average that.

    Hello Everyone. :biggrin_25511:

    Trips and Stats

    Friday's pay settlement: 2,827 miles.

Well, I'm home. A few days late, but that can happen when a repower goes sideways. I had too make sure that load I was on to Pittston, PA arrived on time.

I was able to get a short run from Tunkhannock, PA (home of my 8 hour D&H) to Upper Marlboro, MD. But the run to get me back to GA required me to dead-head 137 miles to Philadelphia, pick up a pre-loaded trailer at the docks, and take it in to Tucker, GA. It delivered on Monday, the 13th. I wasn't sitting on this load, so dispatch got me a drop number and sent me south.

I ran hard on this one because my 70 was real low. I dropped at our Ellenwood terminal, loaded up my car, put the truck in the shop and finally..........headed home.

Missed 1 of the 2 doctor appointments. I'm waiting to see what the report is on my truck. There are some important items to be repaired this time around, which may cause the truck (and me) to stay off the road for a couple of extra days. I may be able to make-up the missed doc appointment if they hold me over until the weekend. I'll have to make the trip up to Ellenwood and see where I stand.

So, 1147 miles toward this week, and that will most likely be it.

    .................Had trouble finding the house.

.................Dog remembers what I look like.

.................Wife forgot what I looked like.

But I gotta tell ya..........It's great to be home with the kids. It's been too long.

.................and they remembered what I looked like.

    Thanks for reading.

Mine too, but they remember when all it had was cobwebs and moths in it.

Now that they're grown, it's not so dusty in there but I'm not telling them that yet!
