Just want to say HI! and very glad/excited to be close to becoming a CWTL driver(team). My husband and I will be attending orientation in Lancaster, TX either 7/24 or 8/4! Any info about the company or helpful hints regarding orientation or life at CWTL will be appreciated. We have been teaming about 4 Yrs and are looking forward to the change in companies. (not that we didn't like our last co. We were quite happy there). Just making life changes you know?!?One of our favorite couples from our last company came here and they talked us into it. They love it at Con-way so it seems like a no-brainer. Thanks in advance and maybe we'll see some of y'all out there.
[/BWOW. REALLY?!? 7/21 Shazam. Havin trouble with that date. Wonder if I'm dense or is it a sign we should go in September.
Sorry. Used wrong date. It will be 8/21. My Bad![]()
Lancaster Orientation 7/24 or 8/4!! Anybody else? Any tips or tricks?

Since it is George (good guy) doing your orientation I do have a few tips more about his personality than Conway
(1) This is Conway, save discussions for "how we did it at _____" for someplace away from the yard. Not saying the experience isn't important, but it does confuse some people as to what Conway does in comparison when these discussions start.
(2) be ON TIME (this is a no brainer)
(3)While I am sure you have done research about different company policies (and you're in the process of learning more) don't bring these up unless you ask him about them. The reason for this is similar to #1, George just wants to make sure that people get the right information the first time
(4) pay attention and keep your hygeine taken care, once again simple rules.
(5) the driving test is quick and simple (4 left turns 1 of which requires being jughandled), pay attention and you will do fine as he wants to know more about how well you're paying attention more than how quickly you adjust to the transmission.
(6) the hotel sucks (formerly a red roof inn), you get a "continental breakfast" there, and a GOOD lunch, but dinner is on your dollar.KatK Thanks this. -
Thanks LoneWolf. Sounds like good tips. Glad to know common sense will prevail. We are excited and looking at this as a step up in our career and hopefully it will be.

Welcome to our party...I think your enjoy teaming here! They really like to keep them moving for the most part ...still some area of country will hv low freight or too many trucks in but we do pretty well ...really like out new dispatcher in fleet 12 only three teams on his board so he communicates well with us
