Excellent way of putting it. I have read on several forums that its hard work and nothing compared to driving.

So what's the word Stubby? Did Schneider lose another energy contract??

There are a lot of pissed off drivers on this account. Even people who have been told they made the cut are bailing out for other companies. The new trailers are being returned and I am told there will be no new trucks coming to this account. Boy things sure got turned upside down quick!

Most water is hauled with vacuum trucks, however there are some using a Bowie pump and tank trailer.

No more Mel's Restaurant on 152? What is the world coming too.. :biggrin_2551: Its election year i'm being told; but things haven't slowed down to much; I had 70hrs for the week and 30 before days off and should get 32 for this week with days off even in the middle of the week.

I found about a dozen yards in Kenedy yesterday when I attended the job-fair in Floresville - most of them had vacuum trucks & looks like I will have to do prior work before applying to find the operations that use Banjo / Blackmer / Bowie / Corken style pumps ~ as that is what I am looking for and I already have Nabors will be interested in me, consider me pursuing wireline with J-W Wireline Company .... the rep at the booth at the Oil & Gas Industry Job Fair in Floresville yesterday told me that he was interested in what I have to send the letter I had printed up the hill to someone with authority to hire ........ I could probably handle wireline

Seems to me if I hire out with Nabors in Permian then cannot take it on a vacuum truck the there it is on the driver-record(s) --> I walked Chalk-Hill's yard near Pleasanton yesterday and all I saw was vacuum & sand + nearby was Frac Tech Services -> a field hand told me they were not going to have the pristine conditions I was asking for but the other hand who was present was telling some "been out of college awhile and now actually has to go find a job" about the copious hours some places can provide .... I clarified for the very observant potential applicant that the the "trick" was/is to get on at a place like that at $15-18+ and hour to start & avoid the $24-35 major-name operations that stop the hours at 40

I am extremely and deeply familiar with things like 100 people standing in the yard waiting on trucks is going to result in a shift in a few days, and interestingly Stevens had several acres of trucks sitting but no yard-full of ......

hey, wait a minute, rockdoctor - I bet the Stevens yard in EFS can use those drivers if SNI does not find work for them all,.....I can probably find the yard on google maps as the drive is fresh in my memory, somewhere around Stockdale, TX though I probably cleared the Nuvi ......

Sorry for the late response. All seems to be well in Corpus, we got a hearty slap on the back for the wonderful job we have done so far. We were told that managment in Green Bay could not be happier. That we were THE GOLDEN STAR of energy. That they expect real growth and market posistion from the Corpus group. I was kinda left stunned, I do not know much about big business. The books must be in the red, all these new trucks with trailers are way over 200,000. 60 drivers on payroll. I wondered if the Victoria group heard all this once. They did say they had learned a valuable lesson in Victoria don't put all your eggs in one basket. I guess they are playing the long game for customer diversfication. I wish all the Drivers in Victoria, Good Luck.

the thing you have to realize is somebody as big as the operation that did this can take a hickey like that and it is not Vermillion 380 ...... just a 15-swell in for a 90-ton supply boat in Vermillion 230 ... so when you have people like the HR manager I talked to yesterday at F.T.S. running things we get these "shifts" that move hundreds,.....the snag-o-matic to avoid is like the ten or a dozen that were standing in a grassy pasture ten miles from town by C.R.E. with no water, no control-officer, and no idea what to do ....... then realize that people who have only worked in an office will do this as routine matter of course then stand there hollering like G.S. - they never get to where field-ops live ~ which is a good thing once you have one of them try to help your crew by running it a few days ....
