Just refuse to haul cheap freight. When fuel goes up raise your minimum haul rate.

Unfortunately this will never happen. There are dozens of bottom feeders hauling freight every day for almost nothing and more starving. They will continue to haul the freight, the companies will also continue. As soon as the rates go up a little most will lose their resolve.

It is a great thought and would be quite effective in a short amount of time but it will never happen. The free enterprise system, greed and lack of cooperation will always prevent an event like this from taking place.

So just how much are the oil companies allowed to charge us for fuel in your little dream world anyway? I am always amazed that everyone thinks that they are the only ones in the world that should make a profit . And speaking of profit just who died and made you the one to decide how much is to much profit for a company or person to make any way ?

We have become a country that wants to be given everything instead of a country that believes you can go out and earn anything that you want on your own .

I am a lot more angery over the price of a gallon of water at the truck stop than the price of a gallon of fuel !!! Heck even a gallon of oil is 20 bucks that make me a lot angrier than the 4 bucks for a gallon of fuel .

Why don't we strike of hours of service rather than fuel cost . The ours of service cost you more than fuel every year or how about Detion pay that cost you more than fuel does in lost wages alone !

Heck there a million things better to strike over than fuel costs !!! Just do your best to haul for a profit if you can't make a profit it is not oil companies job to loose money so you can make one !

I for one don't need the government involved as much as it is in my life. I just want to be allowed to run my buisness the way I want without anyone telling me how to do it !!!

No one owes me anything but a chance for me to earn it on my own !

    Good call Marmonman!

People are willing to pay MORE per gallon for water, that is free out of a tap, then they are for fuel!

I'm one of the few people that think gas and fuel prices aren't a bad deal......compared to if I had to acquire those products on my own, haha!
