    Been talking with a recruiter at TMC,after 21 years behind the wheel I know enough to believe only
    half of what they tell you.Not one for changing jobs, just want some facts from the ones holding the
    wheel,not the phone and ink pen.
    My questions are;

    - Living in VA. and trying to be home on the weekends are they going to run you more in the northeast/midwest
    or pretty much east of I35 anywhere (I don't mind the northeast,kind of immune to it now,but still not all week long).?

    -APU's and inverters?

    -Still 60 mph?

    -Paper logs?

    -Are you left alone to do your job (NOT MICROMANAGED)?

    Also if there is any other inside info that can be offered up,I would be greatly appreciate it !

    I believe its 62mph. Paperlogs for now untill they're forced otherwise. No apu's I think you can get an inverter but they install it. They leave you alone as long as you dont screw around. Get empty first thing in the am and you'll get first dibs on loads. I was an o/o for them but not much is different except I got to choose what load I took. Youll get that too but gotta be first empty. NE isnt bad I actually preferred it because of the money. You can work a nice round trip up there if you do it right. PM me I can give you the low down.

    well i just finished orenation and training. you can get an approved invertor from them and have it installed in the truck. the don't have apu's and you can idle the truck but it will cut into your fuel bouns after awhile. right now most trucks are paper logs but they are getting the new qualcom and elogs so they are slowly changing over. but you'll have control over like inputing your start and stop times and stuff on them. and like Polarbear said. if you get off loaded first in the moring then dispatch will give you choice of the loads in your area.

    As far as running area goes,do they keep you in a specific area in relation to where home
    is or pretty much run you anywhere and everywhere?

    If you have a good talk with your fm you could probably stay close to your area. Completely up to you.

    Sounds like they do run you all over,for me thats a good thing, not looking for a
    "regional" thing. Just trying to find a good fit,somewhere I stay and tolerate the
    small things of day to day.
