    Gentlemen...a little experience speaking here!

1 st.off,,,ya ain't gonna teach the government OR the oil companies anything. Even if we all parked our trucks and shut-down America, the government would yard-yer-#####-outa yer truck, and a soldier would deliver that load in your truck, while yer ##### sat in jail. Don't believe me? Read the fine print governing commercial vehicles engaged in interstate commerce.
(used to be printed on the back of the log-book)

2 nd. I've been thru 3 national, & several local truck-strikes over the last 30 years and I can assure you that nothing good for anybody came from them. People got hurt, some got killed,,,nothing changed.

Only a rookie that doesn't know better would suggest somthing like this, and only a fool would consider it. JMO.

Cody, I absolutely do respect your want-to,,,but this ain't the way.

The higher the fuel price goes,,,the more money I make!!!!!

Right now the FSC is .58 cpm. for cryin-out-loud. Add that to $2.00 per mile average freight and that's about 2.58 per mile!
This ain't BIG money,,,it's average money. IF yer not makin "average money" pluss 100% of the FSC, then find a better lease. Just quit trying to instigate a strike because I promice,,,you would not like it.

This really brought back some memories like these...

Little girl in her moms car got killed dead by a cinder-block thrown off an overpass in san antone, tx by a guy that missed me, & hit her.
2 weeks later,,,cinder-block hit the front of my trailer knockin a big hole. (Same overpass & I shot back several times but missed.)

Finaly the Texas H/P sent troopers to sit on top of overpasses with RED spotlights
pointed at on-coming traffic to let us know he was up there.

Remember fuel pumps being blocked at truckstops & guys fracing off with guns?

How about bullett holes? Ever patch those? Ever measure how close it came to you head?

Ever had someone pull yer 5th. wheel latch so when ya leave in the morning yer trailer hits the ground?

Ever painted on the side of your truckj "DON'T SHOOT--GOING HOME EMPTY"?

I've done these things and would have shot you had you been in my way.

    You REALLY want a truck-strike?

When ya pull this kinda ####,,,there ain't no rules & people get hurt or dead. Ya really want this?

Don't think for a moment that you speak for me.

    You do not!

    Later Hero

From all the replies....Seems like you all want to keep bending over and taking the screwing instead of standing up for yourself and doing something about it...OR the government has you so badly brainwashed because you accept what they tell you and if you go off course of the government plan, YOU FEAR what the government will do to you for it...
Trust me all you scared truck drivers , if no one buys fuel , the cost will come down.

If no freight moves...People will pay attention and wonder why

Just so all you scared truck drivers know.....I heard SAM'S CLUB sells VASOLINE by the gallon So you can at least be lubricated while you continue to Bend over and take the screwing!

    WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You just don't get it. You will be the one bent over if you try this. People will get hurt if this takes place. Nothing will be accomplished. Nobody wins!

And even worse the words of those who have been through this falls on deaf ears. A smart man is willing to listen to and learn from those who have experience. If this smart man wants to change things he will find a way that hasn't already been proven a failure several times.

Wow, this Cody kid is full of fail. Oil is bought globally, first of all. A three day strike would do little to quench global demand and make oil prices drop. Second of all, the US government does not control oil pricing. The simple way, and the only successful way truckers have ever dealt with fuel pricing is fuel surcharges. I remember when there was no surcharge, and we had viable gripes. It took fuel hitting $2 a gallon for who I was leased to to implement a surcharge. It's become an industry standard and works well. Save your strike nonsense for after EOBR's are federally implemented and drivers fight to get paid for all of their time working plus overtime, since it can finally be reliably tracked. That is a far more worthy cause.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Laugh when driver grips about fuel. First indicator they are clueless about this business.

Sounds like an O/O with a failing business plan that is not willing to do what it takes to make it survive and profitable. He would rather whine and try to blame others for his failure that sounds just like alot of young people today including the current occupant of the White House.

What ever happen to personal responsibility in this world?

A three day shut down is exactly what this country needs to teach them a lesson!

All of you who are scared buy a dog for protection.

We need to take this country back, 1 truck at a time!

Therefore I will shut down Sept 1, 2, and 3!

POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!!!!! *raises fist in the air*
