My recruiter said there shouldn't be a problem but I figured I would ask you. I'm 6'11" and weigh 340lbs. Am I going to have a problem stretching out in the sleeper?
6'11", will I fit in a sleeper?

Depends on the sleeper. I'm 5'7" and I drive a prostar with a 70" sleeper. You should be able to sleep fine but standing up you might be close unless you get a condo sleeper.

holy crapper bro your big , first off it has to be a condo stand up sleeper you will fit but like tight sideways wowsers.
Sam Hell Thanks this. -
My international's sleeper is about 7'8" wide inside width. So sleeping shouldn't be bad, but it depends on the truck you get. My Freightliner was only 6'9" wide on my bed anyway

i'm 6'4 and can strech out and put arm over head in my freightliner. smaller sleeper volvo are 6'4 wide inside (610). so make and model will play huge role in your confort.

You should be fine, remember your working Your, life in a truck for $ not comfort. Make sure you get paid enough.
You can't take "Chrome Home ".

The mattresses are 80" long x 36-42 inches wide, depending, and typically there is about 4 inches "storage" on both sides at the ends of the mattress. For anyone over 275, they will probably need to have the company take out the stock spring mattress and go in with some sort of aftermarket thicker, very high density foam core setup. The cheap factory mattresses WILL NOT provide decent support for very heavy individuals.
IMO, trucks are not setup to handle individuals taller than about 6'-4" comfortably without some sort of mod'ing. You can probably get a scrap piece of 4-5 inch foam rubber from an upholsterer to fill the void at the head end to support the pillow and that would gain you about 4 inches of feet room which might get you by.Sam Hell Thanks this. -
Stay away from the Volvo 670s. I'm 6'1" and lying flat on the bunk both my feet and head could touch the side walls. I was perfectly comfortable, but there just wasn't any EXTRA room to stretch lengthwise. I don't think you'd fit, even if you laid diagonally across the mattress. I don't know how the ProStars are laid out, but you might be cramped on the bunks of International 9000 series, too. I also don't have much experience with Kenworth, Peterbilt, or Western Star sleepers but I do know that the bunks and mattresses in Freightliners are noticeably bigger than those in the Volvos.

In my (Co) Cascadia I bought a couple cheap Pillows and stuffed them in the Hole at one of the ends b/c my regular pillow kept falling in there.
Sam Hell Thanks this.
