Snowwy, let me help you out here. I know that area like the back of my hand, I also know that the containers hauled in NJ are done by day cab hourly drivers. Yes, even for JB Hunt. I've worked the rail yards and ports in NJ. Everybody drives fast, including me, and runs like hell. Not because of e-logs, but 1. That's how we do in Jersey 2. 5:30 in the am you want to beat the rush going into Newark, Elizabeth, Bayonne and the NYC traffic. You bringing your argument about e-logs without knowing the situation shows how much you don't know. #1, come drive that 95 corridor for a few years and get back to me. #2 run an e-log and get back to me. I've done both. The E-logs don't hurt my paycheck one bit. You gotta learn how to work kid.

At CR England if a second person is logged in, you can do anything you want to a QC while moving, however this in no way absolves you from the responsibility of keeping your eyes on the road, at some point personal responsibility has to enter into the equation.

He owes you something because mine works while running down the road. It's a simple mouse click the company switches on or off. I work for a company that doesn't assume that your a stupid re*ard and then proceeds to duck tape and band aid the entire world in hopes of avoiding a little boo boo. I was actually fine with driving for Schneider years ago but I just can't take the constant safety preaching and annual idiot classes where they show pics of last years accident while some loudmouth supertrucker babbles in the back row non-stop. I'm safe because I enjoy my job and most importantly my job is my livelihood so I can handle it on my own.

Yeah, my QC works just fine while truck is moving. I can read what is sent and can send messages. It's not an E Log QC but a QC none the less.

I use Peoplenet, not the Elog version. The keyboard is disabled while moving, but I have several pre-programmed messages that I can send while moving.

Last time I checked, the speed limit up there is 55. Even a Prime truck can run that.
