Prostars, the Good, the bad and tips to make better

Sounds like I'll be hpoeing for a Freightliner, All I hear about the ProStar in the last post and the junk brake chambers yesterday, wrong brake hoses, Don't look good for the International. Anyone know what the deal is?

Sorry, I need to learn how to spell (HOPEING)

 

So not to say anything about the gallon every other day.... But here was my issue in my 9400i... A picture is worth a million words so I shall upload.



1.5 gallons every 10 hours. If the truck hasn't moved for more then 15 hours, 2.5 gallons. That picture there is only 3 hours in.

 

I accidentally hit send on my phone before finishing my post.

But yeah, I had to deal with that crap for months. No shop could figure it out! Worse of all.............. Gary finally fixed it. OH AND WHAT IS EVEN FUNNIER. Gary told me I had a IMAGINARY leak. I pulled my truck out of the shop and it was steadily dripping ran back in got the mechanic and showed him.

Guess what it was? THE FILTER BEING LOOSE. Yeah almost to the point it's off. Yet they checked everything? Great.



As for you pirate. I was making a joke lol, don't take me serious about stuff like that. If I'm pissed by something you said then you'd know it. There isn't much that upsets me truthfully. Except Meltom and his shenanigans. Haha

 

I know one problem was coolant leaking into the exhaust manifold. Evaporates before it reaches the stack, so it would show as an "imaginary leak". So far mines been doing good. I still wouldn't buy one though.

I... Did not have the problem. I had a extremely visible leak. But hey... I guess if they can't find it im a lier.

 

I'm guessing this problem is on a ProStar, What, Do the mechanics explain the problem? or do they give you the line....."I'm the mechanic, your the driver" Hopefully they tell ya what they did to "fix" the problem.
