No one here can give you one. Ask someone who can.

I agree, with your exp and what you bring to the table you are greatly under paid!! But you know sometimes its worth a few sense less to be with a solid company the treats you right!! But I agree Calex should reward guys like you that have showed that you are a asset to the company!!!

I did. Like everything else with truck drivers we all get lumped into the same pile.

Thanks, and I do agree, the raise would be nice, but the overall big picture is far more important, until I hear about some of the dumb things some drivers do that literally effect the bottom line. Hopefully one will materialize before it's time to move on.

How far up the chain of command did you go? They are using you as a marketing tool for which you should be compensated.

On an open forum it is free game is it not and it doesn't quote you only anonymous but you do deserve a raise minimum should be at least .41. I often want to go back out to make the trucker bucks but then when I put it in perspective after road expenses and paying for health care I am better off where I am at.I have health insurance and a company car all paid for by my employer so a little less on the gross pay I will live with. JohnBoy you are a year younger than me and I thought I would never leave the road before I had to so hang in there maybe something will fall into your lap like I had and you will be able to stay home with momma and the Labs

I agree 110% with you John, hence one of the reasons I left. I got along great with everyone there however, that doesn't pay the bills! I know we never really got a chance to talk or go grab a bite to eat but I think you know enough of the inside story on the other reasons why I said enough and returned to tanks. To run my tail off even harder, staying out longer than usual, sacrificing time off for more income would've been fine if I could've made $55-60,000 but we know that will never happen there ($51k in 13 months is simply unacceptable). Sorry for starting to rant, I digress...

Be safe, I'm about to pick up another preloaded tank in Western PA heading down to St. Pete then out to wherever! All I can say is that I'm making more now than Calex could ever imagine to pay me; case-in-point: only drove a leisurely 3,452 miles in 12 days my first two weeks here and made the same as if I had ran 6,985 miles for "Big Green"!

I didn't really go up high enough, I only said something in passing. I will say though I am given a bonus for drivers that have come on via my help through this blog. And, I will say that it takes a full year to collect it, and when I do I split it with the driver. It's not much, 250 after the first 6 months, the other 250 after a year. It's been something, but I rather have that raise. This isn't a deal breaker by any means, just something that irritates mean a little. Like I've said, this is my last driving job. After this, it's the end. I just hope to make it until I turn 60 in 3.5 years.

Thanks for your input, much appreciated. I have been very fortunate in the last 31 years to take care of my future after driving. I am a licensed realtor and work with my wife in order to help her out with her business that she's been doing for the last 15 years. Believe it or not, I do real estate work at times while I'm gone, and do it while I'm home. That and the fact that we both have a common goal is what drives me. Your part about staying home with momma and the Labs, right on my friend, thanks!
