On the prostar? No its almost useless. Best time it works is when I'm dead heading :D

Id love to get a Pete 2013 glider hood with a Detroit 12.7 pre egr and 18 speed. The engine brake on my Detroit in my Columbia would bring me to a stop almost

I don't hear it or feel it. Dash switch on 3. Steering wheel switch on anything I'm missing?

    What year?

The 2010 to 2011 were exhaust brakes

    2012+ were actual Jake brakes

Its worthless and there nothing you can do to make better. Just have to drive accordingly to what the truck does. If the prostar has a true Jacob brake then it sucks and I would rather the exhaust brake.

The jake gets stronger when roehl does the first PM. Mine was done at 40k miles and after the oil change the jake was better, still not great. my '13 has 53k miles on it now

Yeah i used to be able to go down monteagle in 8th gear in my Columbia fully loaded and not even go over 1500rpm.

My pro-star however i have to use 7th gear with the Jake on 3 and have to use my service brakes often. They don't fade but compared to my Detroit, i never had to touch the service brakes on that thing.

You may know this but, the last thing you do is tap the brakes to get the Jake to work. Very annoying to have to do but it alerts those behind you that your slowing down. I hear or feel my jake, it is a very low rumble. Last month I went down Grapevine with 30k of plastic pipe. Eighth gear, 1650rpm at about 38 mph. Never touched the brakes. Very nice decent. The little green over rev light never came on. I have been told that when the jake is on the 1500 rpm limit is set higher. The Jake works best at the higher Rpm range. These motors true rev limit is around 2100.

Yeah, I like activating the jake by using the brake more cuz like you said, it lets people know behind you that your slowing down

    Super star in the building.

*applause* and as he walks by i scream autograph?

Never got one though. Pitty, I went home a sad, very sad, clown that day. Hurts to this day.

As for me and my non existent prostar, she's running well. As for my actual Colombiana, she is, as always grumpy. But my jake works so no complaints.(636k mileage).

Also, my truck must have space to put my belongings. I have to accessorizes you know, can't leave home without my.... Well actually I just like the space so I feel less cramp then a midget in a locker. But don't let Dirtydiesel tell you he doesn't like aero trucks, he admitted to me the other day he is obsessed with the brand new t700s.

Naturally shocked as I was, I disagreed with him. Oh, and my birthday was on Sunday so I expect all of you to pool your monies together and get me a truck (actual size, not a scale model that's just mean). (jk, but I won't mind if you actually do it)

LIES. I admitted if I had to buy an aero, it would be a t660, NOT t700
