I work for USA right now but I can't stand there equipment. I've set due to breakdown more then I've ran in the last few months. I'm thinking bout going with tmc and I hear good things but just trying yo see if they are to good to be true. I'm really wanting to get into flatbed. Also I like the sometime tmc gives you. So can someone give me the rundown on what I'll expect at tmc? Thanks

I work for TMC and its a good company. All companies have their problems, but TMC is mostly good. Their equipment is ageing and showing it's age although they do maintain it well. I have a lot of small problems with my truck, not a lot of breakdowns. They fix the small stuff every 40,000 miles when we go in for service. I haven't had any major issues that caused me to loose work aside from when I blew a both trailer tires on the same side and wrecked the rim. If you want to get home you can get home almost every week-end, although the first month is rough while your fleet manager gets used to you. I make over 900/week after tax when i get home, and over 1100 when i stay out. I'm a new driver with only 5 months experience so that's not bad. The taping and strapping isn't hard but is time consuming and tiring. They will show you how to do it and pay you during your training. As a flat bedder I drive less miles but make more then van drivers with similar experience. I average 2500-2500 miles per week. We get additional tarp pay and stop off pay. Making % mean it doesn't mater how long the load is, just what you make. We get a higher % pay for having hazmat, twic and passport as well as low out of route and good mileage.

All in all its a good company. I always have freight, although sometimes its low paying. I've never been stuck more then an hour without a load. trucks can only go 62 though.

+++Good pay, Decent equipment, reliable freight, good home time

    ---Tarp pay isn't much, 62MPH, Junky CB's,

    4thgenerationtommy Thanks this.

Thanks man. They seem pretty good and the pay sounds really good. I want to get into flatbed and I heard they are a great starter company for that. It's got to be better then USA lol. I've had nothing but problems here and 62 mph is ok cause that's all I can run now. Hopefully I'll be starting there soon. I have to call them back tomorrow and thanks again for the rundown
