Are local drivers governed differently than OTR drivers? Lets say you drive LTL for con-way. Can you drive more than 10 hours in a day or is it the same as OTR.

OTR can drive 11 hours a day, total of 14, and 70 in 8 days, local is pretty much the same

There's some differences on logging too, if you run under 12 hour days and are in a certain radius of home base you just keep a time sheet.

ACT runs over the road. I was local for ACT. We did not log with log books. We filled out a time sheet to account for our movements. As a local driver you can run 16 hours on day a week. 14 hours the rest of the time. You can only show driving as 11 or those hours but you won't come close to that. We ran all day long and rarely drove more then 300 miles in a day. So we showed 7 hours most as driving.

if you are running local, ya can run on a time sheet only if you dont show more than 12 hours a day unless you do a log sheet for anything over 12. You must stay in 150 AIR MILE radius of terminal unless you have a log book. And the 16 hour rule can be used once between 34 hr resets if u return home everyday

True on the time sheet as well, but thought it was 100 miles?, could be wrong, Or it changes to 150, In Las vegas, NV running local, If you run log book driving local, the entire day is done on line 4 on duty not driving, and in the remarks you mark down how many hours for driving,
