A 5 pound hammer and some PB Blaster will work almost every time.....Two of the basic tools in my side box.....lol!
I have a 2011 Great Dane with air slide now.....LOVE IT! -
I have driven 2 and 3 axle reefers and my trick works almost all the time. Get the truck and trailer straight and level (if possible). Drive straight forward at 1-3 mph, and pull the trailer brake. As the trailer stops the truck it "rocks" back and forth a hair. This centers the pins in holes.
The only times it doesn't work is if the pins are bent or on snow and ice. That's when I use the hammer.Scorcher21 Thanks this.
