Well if it's as bad as you say then you should leave, unless you are a gluten for punishment. I would contact the office and address the issue of your "1099 status" before going through whatever official channels are available. It could be a mistake and if it's not then it sounds like one more confrontation would not hurt matters.

Sometimes things just happen. I am sure the "Company" does not intend to be a bad employer. Without knowing who the company is, we can only guess as to why they acted the way they did. As a "Team Player" there are times when you take one for the team. Without complaining. Point out your problems with the truck and if the company fixes them and you can feel good about the future with the company then work for them. If not, move on. Being a team player for a losing team isn't fun. Ask the Kansas City Chiefs.

There is not a day that goes by that someone in the trucking industry isn't having a really bad day. It could happen to you no matter where you move on too. The company I work for now, I love. The truck is old, has no working tach or speed O meter, I use my GPS for that, but they pay well and we know what we are in for. Eyes wide open.

At .30 per mile, and 1099, I would have moved on before I started. But I am paid much better and can put up with a lot more.

I talked to a sails rep for detroit diesel today and he told me these internationals with the international motor are a huge problem for owners to deal with.. They are pretty much a lemon.. egr problems.. head pressure won't let ac clutch work properly... While the company sounds like a pos.. A lot of it is the truck.. Having said that get the heck out of dodge before you kill someone due to lack of sleep.

I thought for sure this was gonna be another WAAAA_WAAA they treated me bad thread, BUT I think th OP has a legit complant! Like others said it's time to leave . Just when you do take pic's or vidio of the truck inside and out! get lots of close ups of trouble spots ex. front of fenders, driver seat ect. Don't waste anymore time with him.

My husband has a 2012 International that just spent from 8/15 to 9/4 broke down at 2 different International dealers. He took a swapped out load and finished the 100 miles on it, p/u mty at yard and on way to shipper it broke down the second time, he went ahead and p/u that load and took it to the yard and then went to the 2nd International. He is a lease operator, the work was under warranty, he and his student stayed in the truck maybe one day the 1st time and 2 on the second, all the other days they spent at our expense at a hotel. First trip was the turbo, the second was the fuel pump, which on the fuel pump they started to look at it on Friday and it wasn't out of the shop till the next Saturday a week later. Every little cheap nit, picky part they could replace was done and the pump by the next Friday, as it ended up having to be replaced after all, was not even started to be put on. The On Guard system also had to be looked at because it keeps going off at every pillar, beam, white line, merging car, etc that it can find. They didn't even know that that had been added to the work order on Wed and. '

His paychecks were in negative numbers, one week they did even post a pay stub, then the next week they had all the tallied up weeks negatives added up. Still in the hole this week and it will most likely be a couple more weeks before that is even caught up.

Pissed isn't the word, it took the money we had for a roof to be put on and the a/c this month. He has raised more cain and able. All I can say is they replaced small items so I hope they last a longtime. The On Guard system is a total joke, they can't even calibrate it to do right.

You got it PackRat, it was a good thing. What was really rude is at the one place 2 other trucks came in after his and they worked on them. They were out of their pocket, not warranty work. So I guess the moral to this is that International does not fulfill warranty work on a timely basis and will dither around and act stupid.
