    Got the BOL from the shipper, looked at the weight, ok no problems with the gross, now where to set the tandems... oh hell just pick a hole and head to the scale...

    Apparently I picked the right hole...

    First weigh:

    Steers - 12020
    Drives - 31180
    Tandems - 31100

    Maybe I should get a lottery ticket today.

    What was the axle setting, was the 40 foot mark between the tandems? I find that most of the time that position works for me.

    Their scales, hell noones for that matter is calibrated close enough for.that ticket to hold up...

    @12000 lbs, 120lbs represents 1%... 20lbs represents 1/10th of 1%

    Gross is 6000lbs under, they are not writing a ticket, and with fuel beimg burnt off to get to the scale... that 20lbs disappears in no time.

    One hole forward of that... just a guess, worked pretty well though.

    If you haul the same trailer a lot you get used to where it goes by weight and you can get it close to get you to the scale , but dang that was way close !
