You might check and see But I think most companies (insurance) only allow 1 passenger at a time from what I understand.. .. I could be wrong, But its something you might check into...
1 question instead of your wife just riding along why don't you consider teaming ?? you could nearly double you take or at least increase it ... If you guys dont want to drive that much you might look into what is call super solo..just an idea to throw out there.. -
cstancil82 check out crete. This is from there web site.
Family Rider Policy
Crete Carrier Corporation has one of the more progressive rider policies in the trucking industry, allowing specific family members to ride along at no cost to the driver. Authorized passengers under the family rider policy are:
- Spouse, which includes "common law" spouse where permitted by law
- One child, stepchild, foster-child or grandchild 4 years of age or younger, provided they are accompanied by the non-driving spouse.
- One child, foster-child, stepchild or grandchild 5 through 18 years of age, with or without the non-driving spouse

Also most companies don't allow riders in the winter time. Another stipulation is that you will have to pay insurance for them to ride. Usually not too expensive though.

I do not believe trucking is for you. I would think you'd be more interested in pay, benefits, and your future than finding a company based on if they have a rider program.

Swift rider program is age 12 minimum and $1 per day for insurance but they limit you to only 1 non-cdl holder rider at a time
