That sucks Jim. Guess the part where you told them the customer says they were out to lunch at that time got lost in translation lol. Im headed to Odessa,Tx for thursday so Im praying I get a load out of Sweetwater or Duke. Freight anywhere west of I-35 in Texas has sucked for awhile including the DFW area.

I had a job site consignee a couple of weeks ago with no address, so I called my FM. She told me to call the customer. Seems like you can never win with these things. Had I called the customer first my FM probably would have told me I should have called her first.

Be careful with that...I did that last year and got a phone call over it...my rant was worse than yours though, much worse.

What I thought was going to be a bad week as far as miles, because of so much sitting, now is about to run me out of hours. I delivered a day early at Krogers in Louisville then went over to JBS in Louisville a day early and drop and hooked for this load going to Rocky Hill CT for Saturday at 2200. I'll probably be near my 70 then. As some of you know, Connecticut isn't a truck friendly state, so I have no idea where I'll park.

Right now I'm at the Flying J in Jeffersonville OH. Tomorrow night I'm thinking the J in Frystown PA. I'll probably be back on here tomorrow night. I went ahead and bought a months worth of wifi time for $20. I think I'll get my monies worth.

I know John Coppens reads this forum as he told me so. I was not bashing Maverick, only stating what happened. I will always do that and have from the beginning!

I will continue...Got to Gerdau in Midlothian Tx for my 0500 pick up. There was another Maverick in line behind me. He starts telling me about the place he went to yesterday. They people went to lunch from 12:00 To 13:00 and then did not have the material to complete the job. By the time they got it together, it was too late to deliver...so they cancelled the load. Guess what? It was my load that they took away from me. So I got to get my trailer light fixed, I got to meet someone I have been wanting to meet for a long time, Had a great Meal as I was the guest, and ended up getting the very next load that I would have been sent on. So it was a win win, win, and the bonus is I could have called my fm and told him I told you so, but decided not to.
Me and the other Mav driver made our way to Norris/Dover in Tulsa and afterwards I headed up to the Pilot to get fuel. Along the way, I got the message to head to Ft Smith. I was able to make it with about 20 minutes or so on my clock. Along the way I got the work order going to Malvern Ohio. Deliver on Friday.
So I get all loaded and am securing the load and they check it and find out that one of the tags is wrong. They tell me they are going to take it off. So I unsecure and then they tell me that they do not have to remove the bundle because they can reach it from the ground ( they can not climb on our trailer , even in our yard.....so )
So I secure it again and then the dude finally shows up on his fork lift to change the tag.
So I am the last one getting loaded in the Mav yard that night.
Finally got it tarped, took a shower and then went to bed.
Got up at 0200 and off I went at 0300. Everything was fine until I hit springfield Mo as there was a three car wreck with cars filpped over. I heard it on the local radio so I was able to take a detour around it.
Stopped for the night in Cloverdale In ( I think that is the name.) Only had about 15 minutes left on my 11 hr clock. Had an excellent Fried Chicken Dinner and then went to bed.
I was up rolling at 0400 this morning and made it around Columbus Ohio before the traffic backed up.
Got to Malvern and there was no one in front of me. Everything was going great until they took their lunch. lol Got unloaded and had a preplan to to go Majestic Steel in Bedford Heights Ohio going to a two stops in Louisville ky and Somerset Ky for Monday.
Made it home today with 20 minutes on my clock.
So I will head out Sunday Afternoon for Louisville or stop at the Love Shack for plenty of parking.
So this week I had 2803 miles and I had to push most of it, so this quarter is going to start out lower on the mpg...but you got to do what you got to do!
    Have a great weekend!

Yep, I'm at the J in Frystown. I liked the old truck stop better.

I should only be about 4 hours from my delivery and they don't open again until 2100 tomorrow night. There is a rest area close by. I may go there in the morning eary enough to get another break in before delivering. My preplan doesn't pick up until 2200 Sunday night in Dayton NJ then delivers 0800 Monday morning in Fredrick MD, so it's a short run but at least it gets me out of Connecticut.

    JimTheHut Thanks this.
