I can't believe I defending this stupid idle thing but I've got to clear a few things up.
    1) The bunk heater will run untill the truck runs out of fuel or the battery is 100% dead. It will continue to run after the LVD has killed the internal lights, etc.
    2) The exteranal lights will function until the battery is completly dead.
    3) The truck will not shut off unless you haven't moved in 4 minutes- driver testing will figure out the actual treasholds.

On a side note company shops are getting the first set of deliveries. The outside vendors won't get them until Nov at the earliest.

Am I the only one who thinks everyone is blowing this way out of proportion? It actually doesn't sound like that big of a deal to me.....

No, I agree that people are over reacting to a system that hasn't even been implemented and tested fully. Nobody knows yet how well it will or will not work yet. The only way to know for sure is to give it a try.

any change is going to get peoples backs up. Its human nature. HOWEVER, given their track record in rolling out workflow, you can understand how we might not trust them to do things right?

I can see some of you who are OTR would have a serious issue with this.

But the traffic thing ain't as bad as yall make it out. How many times have y'all set still in traffic for 4 minutes or more? And how many of those times was the temp was between 20 and 70?

The times Ive sat for that long in traffic, I've set the brakes and cut the engine off myself. How is that dangerous when everyone else including all the cars behind you are stopped just like you are?
