Im such a panzy. I wrap my socks and underwear in plastic bags when I take them off.

 

Some sloppy, power-hungry schlub has complete, unemcumbered access to your personal quarters (company truck or no), with the freedom to disrespect your surroundings and your belongings? AFTER it was cleaned of the previous debris? THAT IS OK??

Dinomite....you may have been truckin' for a decade and a half (as have I), but when you believe this is a "little thing", you need to do some thinking. It's called respect. Respect for others.

No different than peeing on the fuel island, parking at the fuel island to shower, and the myriad of other things discussed on this site. Yeah, it IS a pretty big #### deal. I'd be pissed as hell, too.

 

I don't know how it is at Marten, but I'm guessing that, like most shops, there's that ominous yellow line that drivers aren't supposed to cross, or perhaps one must have proper PPE before entering.

Well, I'd just turn the tables on him. PCW (Personal cleanliness wear) must be worn before entering a driver's personal space. Respect.

I don't LOOK for respect. I give it, and expect it in return. If some schlub in any capacity chooses not to give it, I can "not give it" in return.

At nearly 52 years of age, I've been in several professions. There will always be the segment in any profession that will act like turds for whatever reason....upbringing, attitude, superiority complex, bad day...can't avoid it, and that's fine. But the day I quit expecting to be respected, just as I am expected to be respectful of others, is the day I need to be put down.

I refuse to carry a chip on my shoulder simply because much of society chooses to act like it was weaned on a pickle.

 

What color jumpsuits does the Indiana Dept. of Corrections use nowadays??
