That is when it sucks to be the low man. You get screwed but, at least he will still have a job.

Good luck with the NASCAR run. Would be an awsome job!

without hijacking this thread, allow me to explain since someone is apparently confused. I said i am not truly on salary. That would be because I get paid for what I do and dont get paid for what I dont. I get a "salary" of $xxxx a week, the "salary" being the pay for the work performed. anything i make over my so called salary is held in an account and used for the winter when work slows down to make up the difference between what i made that week and my "salary". This way I recieve a full paycheck of $xxxx all year even when the work is slow (until my account is out of money, but that has yet to happen). You said your work never slows, thats great and I am happy for you. Dry bulk is sort of a seasonal type of deal, extremely busy in spring, summer and fall, and usually slow in winter. you say you shake your head and laugh, well i see you are from los angeles, dont shake your head too hard, we wouldn't want Princess Pelousy to notice. she might try and tax that too....

You are allowing your boss to earn interest on your money. You could simply bank that money yourself and draw it out as needed later.

I agree he is making intrest on my money, I'm okay with that, what little bit he does make aint going to break my heart. Like I said earlier, it may be a little different, but it works for me. Now lets not be hijackers anymore....I would rather read about the daily saga of AT's adventures.
