I did some Cat, untill the people I was with lowered the rate real bad. This year was paying a 1000.00 less than last year.
Also did alot of nacelle hauling with it.
Plus other things I could put on it..
Nice setup, but the rates really went in the toliet and the miss cue in May, is still biting me in the butt..

Sorry...I meant what were you hauling when you worked for TRISM with a 13 axle setup.

I want to buy another trl. when we get back from home.
I will be looking for a stretch, as I've been using this one about every 2-3 lds.
This rig move will be 2 back to back. Then might go a year, before using it again, who knows..

Oh, they were mainly moving some miltary units. 2 man teams. I was going to move some presses from Laredo to K.C.
They also used them for lds. with Westinghouse. the field units. into and out of Charlotte, N.C.

I started with a 6 axle out of Davenport and then the combine fleet for a change of pace. That was fun hauling 2 combines on a trl... Talk abut wouble. One would lean one way and then other would lean the other way. Talk about pucker factor untill you got used to it.
Best gig I had was doing the portable crushers and asphalt plants for Cedar Rapids..
Running a 4 axle day cab.

One of my earliest memories is being with my dad and stopping to look at the combine trailers in the Trism yard.

I agree with you there. I love moving the crushers & screen plants. The only issue is they are very top heavy. When I'm home sometimes I can run 3 weeks straight just local hauling crushers to the ports. I have been on the road more because my direct freight has slowed. SUX

They had them and Scheinder. Then Reichman got some as well.
Combines were ok, but the cotton pickers were bad for weight issues and the were tight together. I bought a few tail lights in my time.

Spent all day on the strip doing all the sight seeing with the wife. Got my ### kicked at the casino games so I'm done gambling. Still up a couple hundred and going to use it to do some repairs when I get back Wednesday. Going to hit the shark reef at Mandalay Bay tomorrow then the pool for the remainder of the trip :D
