Thats good. Still laid off. Spoke to the steward today and he didnt mention about coming back yet so whatever. At least this week i started working out again and eating better, feeling better lol. Main reason is next year I want to do the tough mudder run with my friends but am in no shape right now. Been ok being laid off since I got things done, going away for the weekend for quads and just a good time with the boys, maybe even girl hunt. Other then that I have been running around in circles of boredom lol. I sprayed my rims with plasti dip to see how it looks... What do you all think of it?
AND YES ITS A HEMI. THATS A NE FENDE AND I DONT KNOW HOW TO PUT THE EMBLEM BACK ONAttached Files:

Still sittin. Went ahead and applied for unemployment (didn't know you could do it online, how cool is that?). Also, I went and got me a room to rent, I move in tomorrow. Staying in this hotel is fine when I'm working, but, when I'm unemployed, it's a little pricey. All is still good. Even if I am laid off till Spring, I can live on unemployment, no problem.
I'm a lifer, except, I really need to do some thinkin the next few months and decide if I want to stay here or transfer to Cincinnati (they have a wheel there). I talked to a guy I met who's out of Cincy. who started after I did & he's still busy. My terminal here is keeping the senior guys busy as hell, but, us guys near the bottom get no work. Hog boards are brutal. I can survive it no problem though, it's just, do I want to? I can go anywhere. Decisions, decisions. Still got alot to learn. At least I'm learning. View attachment 37594
Ach: That looks really nice. -
I was finally able to file unemployment as well now, had to wait a week. I can survive off unemployment for a while as well, only have insurance bills. and Ill just hold off on building my car for now(well xmas and my birthday are coming soon lol) Still havent heard a thing. Next week going t search for more work, well better jobs like DPW, the railroad or even the electrical company in my county. Theres no other trucking companies around me besides CWF which is out of the question, coca-cola and pepsi are impossible to get into, and FDX Ground and Express which I refuse to work there again. I could go over the bridge to UPSF but its a little further, pays a $5 toll and it starts at less pay.
Just got done working out, lost 5.5 pounds so far. Going away the weekend, plus tomorrow is cheat day for my diet(yes the WHOLE day, thats what it says to do). -
I was thinking about YRC. So, I've been following the thread. But, I'm confused a little bit. I wondered what kind of yearly wages are realistic to expect, for your first couple years. It sounds to me like it's probably somewhere around 30-36k, with the 15% already deducted.
