@Cool35 if it was stable and made a good amount everynight I would. Plus theres no benefits or retirement from there... plus I only bartend when im pretty much single which is now... for your exact reason as well

@squonk im still sitting as well. Just spoke to the steward and hes trying to get me back asap. I agree I could use a nice steak and lobster... Well steak you can get fairly cheap if you get it on sale at the market. Also dont forget you will have to get the fatter, and toothless lizards instead of the younger ones

Speaking of Lot Lizards, I think I may have seen my first Lot Lizards the other day. I was at a truck stop on my way back from MN & I saw these 2 girls, very young (probably early 20s), actually fairly good looking, but, extremely sluttily dressed, inside browsing for snacks. I can't be for sure, because, I didn't ask. I am a big chicken ya know? Thank God they didn't suspect I would have spent big bucks for some naughty action. 65.gif

I am beginning to wonder if we will be able to retire at all with the way things are going. I don't know about you guys, but I sure don't trust the market and economy enough to do the 401k. I still do it but I really don't want to lose money. As far as the unions go, I don't know that they are gonna last much longer. I hope I'm wrong but it seems they have been on a steady decline. My wife is in a union and they are a complete joke. I don't even know what they are there for?

I wouldve went over and spoke to them lol. Although I did get lucky TWICE this weekend... Benefit of being a volunteer firefighter, and yes I had my gear in the back of my truck(was using it for quad riding since it was freezing) I think for now on when Im away and go to the clubs ill bring it for the same reasons.

As for the unions I dont think they will be going or collapsing. People will fight for them. They might take away some power but thats about it. It depends on what union your wife is in too. Some unions are a joke while others are great. Teamsters and operating engineers are the two best and hardest to get into.

Well I've seen the teamsters much stronger when I belonged to them. My ex is a teamster and works for the city. She has been getting the shaft. I know I'm not supposed to be talking union in here but I hope they get stronger again. It would be nice to get a good pension and pay. I don't know what union my wife is in? She doesn't get a pension though. She is a RN and makes quite a bit of money per hour gets all the ot and double time, etc. The benefits are pretty good but she has to pay for part of them. YRC has better benefits but I'm scared to drop hers in fear of being laid off.

Well, they laid off 6 drivers here. I only got 5 under me now. 2 of those drivers they just hired 3 weeks ago lol. Sure don't understand that, but, to their defense, I guess it's hard to predict the future. I filed for unemployment anyway, so, if I only make 1 run a week I will get partial unemployment. Hog Boards sure don't seem very ethical to me. Unions always cry fairness, then they pull crap like this. Seems rather hypocritical to me, however, I'm new to all this so maybe I just don't fully understand. [IMG] If my feelings remain the same on this subject come Spring, Ima transfer to Cincy. They run a 'wheel' there. Anywho, it's all good. View attachment 37879 Oh, and one other thing, I better stop intentionally misspelling cuss words so they get posted or I'm gonna get booted off this forum. lol 40.gif

p.s. I'm really diggin this Fall weather.
