You've got plenty of time to learn all the rest of trucking when you get onto your TNT truck - and yeah, you guys have to worry about axle and gross weight too. For right now, just learn to manuever the truck and memorize your pretrip procedure.

    long_run Thanks this.

Like IP said, This part is to learn to drive the truck and pass your test, you arent even supposed to do any work in this part, just learn to drive. The rest will come with the tnt trainer. He has just been lucky with the scales. You will hit plenty of them soon enough

Flatbed doesnt have to worry bout weight like reefer does, but its still a concern. Spread axles can have 40,000 on the trailer as opposed to the 34,00 that tandems can. Unless the load is over 40,000 i dont even weigh it. The rightweigh gauge helps out. I dont have to worry bout my steers given my 5th wheel is all the way back.

I need your guys help please. I'm at a service plaza in WV and I pulled over last night because the temp went below freezing and just started to snow. Now I'm awake and it's 32 out and still snowing and I'm 200 miles away from the 90 with a appt at 1600. Should I stay put or go and drive very slow? I kinda need to make this load on this payroll but I'm not trying to loose control or well you know. It supposed to blizzard here in a few hours so I was thinking to leave before I'm really stuck. Pls opinions
