...depending what freight is hauled for Landstar...
....as a current rule, an O/O cannot lease onto them with your own RGN...only a step or flatbed, dry van or reefer..

....average of $1.80/m is too low for my blood, I would think the LS guys are doing better than this...

I wonder if all the BCOs that pull their own RGNs, know that? Someone must have forgotten to tell them and Dan Workman.

Wait a second folks. One of the great things about LS is that they will not invite you to orientation unless they know they have a position available. Unlike so many other companies that send drivers home for some BS reason after they arrive when they have more drivers than they need.

But LS changes qualifications based on need. So it is not out of the realm of possibility that they used the reason that they are not leasing drivers with their own RGN's because they have a handful of very expensive RGNs sitting. Or they are at capacity with a list of qualified RGN drivers in the pipe. Didn't SHC fly through the approval process in less than 2-weeks? He was going to pull steps while van drivers it was taking 4-6 weeks for "approval". They had a need for stepdecks so he got moved right along.

Wow. A lot of info on this post. To all current and former Los drivers, do you guys know of any good agents around Fresno, ca or Stockton, ca? I'm thinking about applying for Los, but I won't if the agents in those areas are crap.

I believe he's referring to the rule that if you don't have RGN experience, you can't just go out and buy one and lease to LS. I believe it was you had to be leased here 2 years before switching from platform to RGN. I don't know if that rule is still applicable.
