Thanks for asking. Yeah, I'm okay. I'm just now getting back into my internet-too-much mode. I didn't get the worst of the storm, by ANY means, but I did get to do a lot of touring of the damage since I've spent this entire time on the East Coast - Staten Island even. I've had quite a few ####TAY loads this week, but I was paid an additional $150 a day to do so, so I guess it was worth it.

I just took a leap of faith and applied with another company just now online. I hope that perhaps I will still be welcomed to come back to SNI's Choice board when I'm ready. If not, I think I have enough support and help from true O/O friends to help me go at it truly alone. But in the mean time, I hope to enjoy a 6 on, 3 off gig with a company with APU units. This running out of battery power thing every night is really tickin' me off. We'll see what happens. In retrospect, I should have talked to a recruiter with all my unanswered questions before filling out the app, but I just happened to be in a particularly crappy mood about everything and wanted to feel more proactive in solving all that is making me angry.

 

It's *almost* as if you stole my handle here, lol.

 

That must just be for OTR drivers, I guess that does not include Regional drivers even if I am supposed to be a "Southeast" regional driver.

 

Maine is part of the Southeast. It's Southeast of parts of Canada.

I asked to be one of the drivers doing the Northeast stuff for a week. They told me no and instead just sent me to Ohio and then are turning me around and heading me back to NY tomorrow.

I figure they only offered it to so many drivers to get some kind of write off for providing Humanitarian aid during a disaster. After they had enough to qualify they stopped offering it and will just run us into the NE anyways without paying extra for it.

Well, like RazorOrange said they probably only offered it to so many people and stopped so they did not lose too much money. I don't really care either way, I am used to running it all the time since I stay out two weeks at a time anyway and usually wind up in the northeast.

I finally got the medical clearence to get back to Schneider, but im trying to leave the Bulk side and go Van, just waiting on a call from John Gerth in the Gary OC.
