Well, I guess I need to rephrase myself, (for those of us that are from wwwwaaayyyy out in the sticks), that sure looks like an awfully complicated apparatus just to have a smoke. In the old days it wasn't uncommon to keep a can of Prince Albert and some rolling papers around, just for those hard times that would come around once in a while, it got you out of a bind until you could come up with that thirty or thirty five cents for a pack. Did you ever ask someone a question, and midway through the answer, get rrreeeaaalllllllyyyy uncomfortable? But that would be for a different thread...LOL!! I'm just glad that it didn't mean what you see on occasion after you've backed in the hole and pulled the yellow button out and are filling out the paper work, when you happen to look up, and there goes one across the lot...

When I was in high school, (now this will really date me) In order to be more accommodating to the students, the students had their own "smoking lounge" area that was outside in a courtyard setting. Of course much more than tobacco was smoked there. That was when we were talking about cigarettes possibly going above $1/pack!

Today... people are just addicted because evidence has show that it is harder to quit smoking the cigarettes of today that to stop using cocaine.

I quit smoking over 20 years ago.

I never have and never will smoke. I've hardly had alcohol. Some rough days i'd wish for a drink but end up getting a Mountain Dew and calling it a day.

Once upon a foolish time, I decided I was going to be more "sophisticated" than a cigarette smoker. I was going to smoke a pipe.

Nobody told me you're not supposed to suck on the thing.

Thought I was having a stroke. Called my doctor father at his office, about a mile from my apartment at the time...told him I was ill and my symptoms. He came hauling over to my place, enters the front door, takes a few whiffs and asks "Are you smoking a pipe?"

    "Yes....", I sputter.

He goes to my kitchen, grabs a plastic bag, throws it at me and tells me to "put this #### thing on your head!", and storms out.

After a few minutes, I finally figure out that I'm hyperventilating and what the bag is for. By the time he called me a few hours later, I was feeling fine physically...but more than a little embarrassed!

    End of my smoking career.

Gonna try the ecigs after this pack. I've been fluctuating from a pack a day on rough days to two packs a week when I get myself to stop smoking in the truck. I quit for three years twice. But this time around I just can't kick the habit. It's really weird since I never drink. Anybody got a favorite brand or flavor of the electronics?

Some people come to my truck and ask for a light and I tell them I don't smoke the reaction is usually like "whatever ahole" like they don't believe me lol.

I don't smoke, I am not fat, and I exercise at least 3 times a week, you don't have to be unhealthy to be a driver.... Though I still think companies shouldn't ban smoking in the trucks.
