    Well shucks , sorry u didn't make it to the RGV , update on son ? Like I wrote the other day was waiting on company to call yesterday about drug test, recruiter said the hadn't gotten driving record from old company and were he had left to go to swift ? Called old job and they said they had faxed it three times, so after a couple of calls got that done. Waiting and sweating for that call from swift

    Plans?? What plans? So after shutting down for the night, parked next to our new truck and ready to make the move in the morning, we get a call from our fleet manager. The load we are on (you know, the one we thought we had dropped) was a load for the sister company we are going to be driving for. The owner of that company said we need to deliver the load to Calexico and then come back to Irving. After MUCH discussion we said OK, hooked back up to the trailer and off we ran. Currently crossing into Arizona with a pre-plan to pick up a load late tonight in Santa Fe Springs CA (LA) heading back to Fort Worth TX

    LOL, we were SO close. At least we have the keys to the Peterbuilt so we feel we made a little step closer

    I've heard that rookie/student drivers team up for 8 weeks,sounds crazy eh? Also new FM's go out in a truck for a few days if they've never experienced trucking a little 101.. Haha

    The other day we picked up a load near Va Beach to take to Swedesboro, NJ. One plywood crate, 360 lbs. Must have been some important plane parts is all I can say. It was funny because the place didn't even have a dock. They usually deal with flatbeds. they just stuck it on there in the parking lot...LOL

    Twice we have arrived at a consignee that did not have a dock. You get a long chain and hook to the pallets one by one and they use the forklift to drag the pallet to the back of the box so they can get it. Total pita

    Got in and out of Performance Team in Santa Fe Springs CA in about 7 minutes last night. That beats my old record by about two hours! When I arrived I got a message BEFORE I EVEN CALLED "CSR faxing release for the trailer now" What? This looks suspiciously like efficiency. THEN, to make things really crazy, when I walked up to the shipping window. They had the Lockdown release waiting for me...........this may be the endtimes.

    This does not even take into account the whole crazy part about the pre-assign to get us back to Dallas was real
